Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year to photograph, especially in and around the unique landscape of the Peggy's Cove preservation area.
I was thrilled when our friends Ange and Chris contacted us to do a vintage-inspired session near the entrance of Peggy's Cove. Ange had ordered a special outfit, waiting for it to arrive. We watched the weather and Fall colours closely to get just the look we were hoping for.
Finally the day had arrived and we met up in a small parking lot to discuss logistics. As I was sorting out some equipment in the trunk of our vehicle Chris leaned over and whispered that he was going to propose! At that point the session bumped up a notch! You see, there was a moment to capture - not just the right light and location. You could feel the excitement in the air.
It was an awfully chilly late Fall evening along the Atlantic coast, so there was no time to waste. Any of several beautiful locations we visited would have done the trick, but then we moved to a field of reds and golds and I sensed that this may be the location for him to pop the question. I caught a look in Chris' eye and I knew it was time. Being at the ready paid off in a big way as I was perfectly placed to capture this wonderful proposal! Of course she said yes!
This will not be the only time we'll be capturing moments for this great couple as we will also be their wedding photographers :)
Thanks to Ange and Chris for allowing us to share and capture such a great moment in your lives!
The setting was perfect for Chris to ask the big question and she said YES!
