It all started here! We were in the middle of an amazing barn reception back in 2016 where Brittni caught the bouquet and Evan the garter! By the end of the evening Brittni was telling us that when she got Evan to "finally get her a ring" we would be shooting their wedding. We got the call and from the start I knew these two were going to be super fun but I had no idea how much!
Before I get to the wedding day, I want to mention that I have been a wedding photographer for many years. Ask any photographer that has been doing photography for a long time and, if they are honest, they will say that photographing weddings is not the easiest way to make a living. Wedding days are long and exhausting, and each wedding represents at least a week on the computer post processing images.
Brittni and Evan are a great example of why I continue to capture weddings. Other than the groom's coverage, the entire wedding was in their home and backyard. It was hot and sweaty. It rained for a while but stopped just in time for the reception. Most importantly it was full of emotion and energy!
It was the kind of day that reminded me that a wedding day, and being a wedding photographer, is not all about fancy venues. It is not about a checklist of images. It is about the couple. It is our job as photographers to capture the emotion of the day. When couples are genuine, caring people it shows through to the core. It makes you want to do a little fist pump in the air when the couple are not just fellow animal lovers but also have a pet pig! Needless to say we became fast friends:) Thanks guys for choosing Pam and I to be a part of your wedding day!
